Heart of Gold

Nomination Criteria
  • Serves the community with distinction and excellence.
  • Enhances and enriches the community.
  • Has made exceptional contributions through volunteer service and/or commitment to the individuals he or she serves.
  • Must be a member of a civic or nonprofit organization.
Citizen of the Year

Nomination Criteria
  • This is at the discretion of each mayor.
  • The purpose of the award is to recognize and honor a citizen - for organizing an event, for saving a life, for improving the community, for stopping a crime, for whatever YOU want to honor and acknowledge.
Outstanding “Green Initiative”

Nomination Criteria
  • Exhibits a new commitment to sustainability either through investment in new systems, or for publically advancing and promoting sustainability in our community.
  • Demonstrates an excellence in business or profession.
  • Enhances the community’s reputation as a “green” place to live and work.
Outstanding Business

Nomination Criteria
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service through dedication and service.
  • Business should be active in the community with time, energy and donations.
  • Uses resources to promote a sense of community.
  • Promotes a healthy climate for business.
Outstanding Business Person

Nomination Criteria
  • Reputable business image in the community.
  • Consistent, friendly attitude to all customers, clients, employees and other businesses.
  • Supports the local community with goods, services and time.
  • Enhances the community’s reputation.
Outstanding New Member

Nomination Criteria
  • Must be a Chamber member for less than two years.
  • Exhibits initiative, creativity and professionalism.
  • Demonstrates an excellence in business or profession.
  • Enhances the community’s reputation as a good place to live and work.
